Chocolate Creams (Crema de chocolate)




Assemble these supplies:

  • 1 cup sugar 
  • 1 cup water 
  • 6 egg yolks, beaten  
  • 1/2 cup chocolate squares, melted

Steps in preparation:


  1. Boil the sugar and water together until a thick syrup. 
  2. Cool; add to beaten egg yolks. 
  3. Pour into individual ovenproof dishes. 
  4. Bake in a 300° preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until set.
  5.  Let the creams cool a little; then pour the chocolate over the creams. 
  6. Refrigerate before serving.
